Memberships

One of the great things about the Theatre Unlimited family is that anyone can join. It gives you a golden opportunity to succumb to the call of the stage. At a modest membership rate, T.U. provides an entire social backdrop for its cast and crew to enjoy.

Whether your aspiration is set on center stage, within the dynamic of ensemble work, or quarterbacking behind the scenes, membership affords you the chance to do it all. Not to mention, Theatre Unlimited members are the first to know about all upcoming auditions.

Theatre Unlimited loves to bring the gang together for other events. Social evenings after rehearsals and performances, as well as organized outings lend a little relaxation to the thrill of theatre life. Plus, for selected performances, you can enjoy discounted tickets for an evening of live theatre.

Volunteering

We couldn't do it without our volunteers who donate their talent and time to Theatre Unlimited. Our volunteer Board of Directors, set builders, painters, costume designers, backstage workers, performers and many others donate the thousands of hours of time that it takes each year to put together a large musical. Whatever your talents and interests, we can find a place for you to help out and become a part of the TU family.

Community Costuming

Over the past several years, TU has gathered a large inventory of costumes that are stored for a fee at the Burnhamthorpe Library in Mississauga. Our sizeable inventory has enabled us to costume most of our productions. As well, we’ve been able to assist many community groups and schools throughout the province to costume their shows for a nominal fee (i.e., to cover cleaning and repair costs).  In fact, our support of such groups increased from 19 to 27 performances from 2015 to 2016.  In 2016, these groups included:

  • The Oakville Players (Mary Rose)

  • EMP (Ragtime, Spring Concert)

  • CMT (Hello Dolly)

  • Glenburnie School (Remembrance Day Ceremony)

  • Brampton Music Theatre (Mary Poppins, Jesus Christ Superstar, Rose Theatre Subscription Night Show, West Side Story)

  • Our Lady of Peace Catholic School (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Annual Christmas Production)

  • St Elizabeth Seton School (Annual Christmas Production)

  • Scarborough Music Theatre (Damn Yankees)

  • Curtain Call Players (Best Little Whorehouse in Texas)

  • Fight To End Cancer Annual Fundraising Gala

  • Vetere Studio (Spring Concert)

  • Thornberry Community Theatre (Fool’s Paradise)

  • MMT (Shrek)

  • CCMP (Jekyll and Hyde)

  • Eden United Church (their Annual Murder Mystery)

  • St. Judes Anglican Church (Ladies Auxiliary Performance)

  • Carswell Music Theatre Camp (Shrek Jr.)

  • Century Church Theatre (Hansel & Gretel).
