Meet Your Instructor:

Moulan Bourke is a Canadian actor, vocalist, and educator with over a decade of professional performance experience. She is a proud graduate of St. Clair College’s Music Theatre Performance program and IT Sligo’s Acting program. Moulan is passionate about coaching through encouragement and curiosity.

Her career has taken her across Canada, the United States, Ireland, the UAE, and around the world with Norwegian Cruise Line. For four years, Moulan performed in high-energy live-band productions, portraying and vocally embodying artists including Stevie Nicks, Janis Joplin, Pat Benatar, and more. Working across musical theatre, rock, pop, jazz, and classical styles has shaped her approach to song interpretation: finding character, circumstances, and personal connection underneath the music while allowing each performer’s individuality shine.

As an educator, Moulan has taught voice and theatre to students of varying ages and experience levels. She is passionate about creating a supportive room where performers feel safe making bold choices and finding new discoveries.

Selected theatre credits include Beehive: The 60s Musical (Stage West Calgary), Stevie Nicks in Rumours (NCL), Belter in Syd Norman’s Pourhouse (NCL), Paulette in Legally Blonde, Diva in Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Martha in Heathers, Columbia in The Rocky Horror Show, Laurey in Oklahoma! and Amy in Company.

Volunteering

We couldn't do it without our volunteers who donate their talent and time to Theatre Unlimited. Our volunteer Board of Directors, set builders, painters, costume designers, backstage workers, performers and many others donate the thousands of hours of time that it takes each year to put together a large musical. Whatever your talents and interests, we can find a place for you to help out and become a part of the TU family.

Community Costuming

Over the past several years, TU has gathered a large inventory of costumes that are stored for a fee at the Burnhamthorpe Library in Mississauga. Our sizeable inventory has enabled us to costume most of our productions. As well, we’ve been able to assist many community groups and schools throughout the province to costume their shows for a nominal fee (i.e., to cover cleaning and repair costs).  In fact, our support of such groups increased from 19 to 27 performances from 2015 to 2016.  In 2016, these groups included:

  • The Oakville Players (Mary Rose)

  • EMP (Ragtime, Spring Concert)

  • CMT (Hello Dolly)

  • Glenburnie School (Remembrance Day Ceremony)

  • Brampton Music Theatre (Mary Poppins, Jesus Christ Superstar, Rose Theatre Subscription Night Show, West Side Story)

  • Our Lady of Peace Catholic School (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Annual Christmas Production)
