Meet the Curtains Team - The Director

We are thrilled to welcome Raeburn Ferguson as the Director for our upcoming production of Curtains!

Raeburn is a graduate from York University where she studied Devised Theatre and specialized in Directing. Since graduating she has worked steadily in community and professional theatres around Ontario, strengthening her passion for creation and theatre education. She has been nominated for her work on various productions at the ACT-CO Festival including Best Director for her work on Orangeville Music Theatre’s Wedding Singer the Musical. She has recently started her own theatre company, Truesight Collective, which mandate focuses on creating immersive theatrical events that break down the barrier between audience member and performer.

Raeburn has spent the last few years balancing her love of theatre both on and off stage. Her most recent performance credits include Fiona- Shrek the Musical, Columbia- Rocky Horror Picture Show, Elle Woods- Legally Blonde, Kate in the Lower Ossington Theatre’s production of Legally Blonde and Apostle in Lower Ossington Theatre’s Jesus Christ Super Star.

In 2014 she travelled to the Edinburgh Fringe with an original show that received 5-Star reviews and recently choreographed an original musical which toured Southern Ontario and hosted a gala that raised money for Autism awareness. Raeburn is a huge advocate for theatre and arts education and was the Director of the P.L.A.Y project, a youth theatre program at the Living Arts Centre for two seasons. This May she will be expanding her own theatre education by attending Theatre Ontario’s Adjudication Course. Raeburn is thrilled to join this amazingly talented artistic team and looks forward to being a part of the Theatre Unlimited family!
